Its summer, the Mela is just hotting up and the whole town is there. Troy is just back from Iraq and trying to be the model British solider; his old friend Ranjit is ready for a display of Sikh martial arts; and Sajjad and Mariam exchange barbed comments over his Al-Aqsa mosque calendars and her hand-made pottery.
