Ahead of what is set to be a thrilling British Grand Prix at Silverstone, with back-to-back British World Champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button joining forces at a McLaren dream team, the glittering 2010 Grand Prix Ball will take place in Central London on Wednesday 7 July.
As the highlight of the social activities surrounding the British GP, the Grand Prix Ball has traditionally been held in grounds close to Silverstone, but a new team of organisers has moved this year’s party to The Hurlingham Club, a stunning country house on the bank of the River Thames in the heart of Fulham, where guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to mingle with the 2010 class of F1 drivers and a star-studded celebrity guestlist.
Jonny Dodge, owner of celebrated London nightclub Aura, is organising The Grand Prix Ball 2010 and is ensuring that it is a key event on the British summer social calendar as British fans rally to support their home heroes at one of the country’s top-attended sporting events.
On the evening, guests can dress to impress at the black tie event and look forward to being wined and dined in spectacular style with a glamorous champagne reception which will then make way for a mouth-watering three-course feast. They will also enjoy an impressive showcase of Formula 1 cars across the ages, which will include iconic machines donated by Classic Team Lotus; Jim Clark’s 32B, Graham Hill’s 49B, Mario Andretti’s 79 and Ayrton Senna’s 99T.
After the formal dinner, there is the opportunity to enjoy big name live music performances, including sets from BBC F1 pundit Eddie Jordan’s brilliant band ‘The Robbers’ and the world renowned DJ Lora. More top acts will be announced shortly.
