The Teak Project represents a collaboration between three of Britain's finest young improvisers. These musicians have come together simply to make their own music, unfettered by the strictures of defined categories like 'jazz' or 'Hindustani classical'. Following on from their critically acclaimed debut album in 2008, The Teak Project are adding yet another ingredient to their fusion of Indian music and jazz as they reinterpret traditional folk songs from Britain and elsewhere with the help of singer-songwriter Tim Dickinson. Also featuring Jonathan Mayer (sitar), Justin Quinn (guitar) and Neil Craig (tabla).
'A combination of virtuoso technique, delicate understatement and absolutely sheer emotional honesty in the performance.' (BBC6 Radio)
